Chewing is a big part of how our body digests food! Without proper chewing, the body cannot properly absorb all the nutrients from the food we eat. Proper chewing helps the thymus gland release T-cells, which are vital to our immune system. These cells help fight off any germs the contaminated food might have. 
Chew for better health and digestion! Experts advise to chew 20 times per bite, but pay attention to the food your eating as some foods, such as meats, might require more chewing.
