Childhood Obesity

Childhood obesity is on the rise and it’s rising fast.  In the last 30 years childhood obesity has tripled and in the last 20 years children ages 6-11 who were obese increased from 7 percent in 1980 to 20 percent in 2008.  “In 2008, more than one-third of children and adolescents were overweight.”  What are we actually teaching our children?  We need to show them how to eat and appreciate nutritious foods instead of going to fast food.  We need to show them the benefits of being active outside instead of glued to hours of TV watching and video game play.[1]

Start today and wipe the slate clean!  Establish a healthy active lifestyle for your children and they will pass it along to generations to come!

Express your love today!
