Coconut oil did get a bad reputation awhile back when diet trends were highly anti-fat. The oil used in those studies were hydrogenated oil. “Virgin” coconut oil has no cholesterol; it contains medium chain fatty acids, which is easier for the body to digest and metabolize, and it also helps curb your food cravings by allowing your body healthy fats. In a healthy diet our bodies need good fats, such as virgin coconut oil, to help produce hormones, cellular membranes, and to aid in the absorption of vitamins and minerals.
Try virgin coconut oil instead of the normal oils or margarines you use. The better your body metabolizes the fats you intake, the better you’ll feel.
