Dangers of NSAIDs

NSAIDs (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs) have been used by almost everyone and they are probably in your medicine cabinet now. NSAIDs such as ibuprofen (Advil, Motrin) and naproxen (Aleve) are used for arthritis, back pain, neck pain and foot pain. It was reported that 107,000 people were admitted to the hospital for “NSAID related gastrointestinal complications and at least 16,500 NSAID related deaths occur each year among arthritis patients.” [1]

Even simple medications, when over-used, have big consequences. Be cautious of using these common over the counter medications.
