Dangers of Sitting

Americans sit in the car, at a desk, in front of TVs and computers then spend endless hours playing video games. We can sit up to ten hours a day with these activities.[i] Sitting creates tight hamstrings and hip flexors.  This in turn can cause tilted pelvis and eventual back pain.  In other words, too much sitting causes back pain. 

Today count the number of hours you sit each day.  Then reduce your sitting activities in half.  Take a break from endless TV channel and internet surfing.  How does your back feel at the end of the day?
