Dangers of Wearing High Heels

Women know their fashion and the high heel shoe has been a staple in that world.  However, with this popular fashion trend comes many health risks that should be considered.  High heels force the body out of a straight posture and into an “S” shape, which causes stress on the joints.  If your shoe has a 2-inch heel, you are increasing pressure in your forefoot by as much as 57% causing an increase in stress fracture risks.  Risks in knee, tendon, and muscle pain also significantly rise when you slip on those “cute” heels.[1]

Think about your health and not the latest trends!  Your body needs to be healthy and that should never take a backseat to fashion.
