When your kids feel light-headed, tired and nauseous, they are already too dehydrated. Kids are more vulnerable to dehydration than adults.[1] They don’t sweat as much as adults so they cannot cool their body as efficiently. Encourage them to get in the habit of having more water throughout the day.
Remind your kids to drink more water throughout the day and have more fruits in-between meals to hydrate them instead of salty or oily snacks. Discourage them from drinking artificial energy drinks or soda, which will just dehydrate them more.
