Don’t Get Stuck in Front of Your Computer

Are you experiencing back and neck pain while at work?  Computer related pain is very common.  Here are some tips to help alleviate some of the problems: keep good posture because when you start to slouch your muscles will shorten and become very tight.  Make sure your keyboard and mouse are positioned so your elbows are at a 90-degree angle.  Your monitor should be at eye level or just below to alleviate neck pain.[1]

Don’t stay in front of computer for more than 30 minutes at a time.  Walk around and stretch often.  Raise both arms up in the air then pull them down behind your neck squeezing your scapular bones.  You need to fight your posture going forward with this exercise.
