Eating Under Stress

Did you know that eating under stress could slow down your metabolism and make you gain weight? Your meal becomes stressful when you eat it too fast, don’t chew enough, foster guilt about your food, eat when you’re upset and don’t breathe while eating. Any of these behaviors will decrease nutrient absorption and increase your cholesterol levels, triglyceride levels and salt retention while bringing on many more negative effects.*

Today, relax while eating by slowing down and enjoying your food. Take three deep breaths before your meals to help calm yourself.

Express your love today.
