Exercise Headaches

If you experience headaches after working out, your posture could be the problem. For example, improper form such as rounding your shoulders when lifting weights can cause contractions in your neck, which can lead to spasms, which then leads to headaches. To reduce the risk of headaches when exercising, try to stay as relaxed as possible during your workout, keep your shoulders back and your posture tall.*

Exercise headaches can also be caused by dehydration or by not cooling down. If, after correcting your posture, hydrating and cooling down, you still experience headaches, pause your workouts and explore other causes with your doctor.
