How To Ice Your Aching Feet

Whenever you have an injury or just an ache in your feet, ice it quickly. The longer you wait to apply ice to the injury, the less of an effect if will have. As you place the ice on your skin, make sure you either perform an ice massage, where you move the ice around, or place a thin towel between your skin and the ice. You never want the ice directly on your skin or on your skin for longer than 15-20 minutes because of the possibility of frostbite. Allow time between treatments to let your skin warm up for at least 45 minutes and always keep your foot elevated! [1]

An ice pack or an ice bath can help alleviate pain at the end of a long day. Keep an ice pack or a frozen bag of peas handy for such occasions.
