How to Polish Marble Naturally

Marble is a gorgeous addition to your home and to keep it that way you need to know how to clean it. If you want to avoid harsh chemicals try going a more natural route. Add three tablespoons of baking soda to a quart of water and mix it well. Apply with a chamois cloth and allow to air dry for a few hours before rinsing with a fresh cloth and clean water. Another method is to crush several sticks of white chalk into a fine powder and apply with a damp chamois cloth. Rinse immediately with a fresh cloth and warm water.[1]

Be careful with cleaning mixtures that include lemon juice. It’s great for cleaning marble of rust stains, but if you let it dry it can cause damage or discoloration.[2]
