Intermittent Fasting to Lose Weight

When done the right way, intermittent fasting can provide you with both health benefits and weight loss. Practice varies; for example, some people fast one day, and then don’t fast the next, while others fast for 19 hours and afford themselves a 5 hour window for eating daily. Despite the different approaches, it’s been proven to decreases calorie consumption and keeps your metabolism at an optimal rate. Intermittent fasting can also help keep your body on track as it increases your insulin’s ability to monitor your own blood sugar.[1]

Talk to your doctor before you attempt intermittent fasting, the process is a different for everyone and you’ll have to find a pattern that works best for you. Remember that during fasting times you still need to stay hydrated so be sure to drink plenty of water.
