After every use, rinse your toothbrush clean with cool water and store it safely in a ventilated cover, positioned upright. Be sure not to store your toothbrush in a solid closed cover; the dark, moist environment can promote bacteria growth. Instead, seek out a toothbrush cover with small holes that will allow your brush to air dry.*
Be sure to replace your toothbrush every 3 months, and always use a new one after experiencing a mouth sore, cold or flu. While a solid closed cover isn’t recommended for at-home use, it is for temporary travel; this will keep dirt and dust from attaching to your brush when rolling around in your toiletry bag.
