Lack of Sleep Will Make You Sick

Research is showing that “if you don’t snooze, you lose!” In a sleep study conducted of 153 healthy people, those that got less than seven hours of sleep were three times more likely to catch a cold virus than those who got their full eight hours of sleep.  Not getting enough sleep can have a huge effect on your immune system, hormones, as well as cause hypertension, diabetes, weight gain and mood swings.  Sleep strengthens the immune system at the cellular level and those who don’t get enough sleep will only gain a weak immune system.
