Less Sleep = Less Alertness

Do you have sleep debt? People who lose one hour of sleep each night for a few nights will start to lose their alertness during the day and it will actually have the same effect on a person as pulling an “all-nighter.” Research is showing that the more sleep a person gets, the better their performance and stamina is during the day. On average, adults need around 7-8 hours of sleep a night. However, some people may require less sleep than others to feel their best. Try keeping a diary of your sleep patterns and record how you feel in the morning. You may have to adjust your bedtime![1]

Try to keep your TV out of your bedroom. If you are in the habit of watching TV in bed, you are losing even more valuable sleep time.
