Limit Drinking During Your Meal

We all know the importance of drinking at least 8 glasses of pure water a day. But did you know that drinking water during your meals could cause a digestive issue? Drinking a lot of water during your meal could potentially dilute the acid in your stomach. That acid is crucial to breaking down food and aiding in proper digestion. People who lack full digestion may experience weight issues, bloating, and nutritional deficiencies.*

To make sure that you do not dilute your stomach acid, limit your water intake during meals to 4-6 ounces. Also, stick to room temperature water. Cold water may get your metabolism working, but when eating, your body is better off devoting that energy to proper digestion.
