Low Fat Options While Eating Out

If you are trying to introduce a healthier lifestyle into your home, don’t forget to apply those same principles when eating out! It may be tempting to “splurge” and go for the cheese sauce, but those extra calories will add up quickly. When eating out, pay attention to the vocabulary! Look for foods that are roasted, grilled, poached, and steamed rather than foods that were sautéed or fried. When foods are sautéed or fried they are also soaking up all that extra oil and butter! Also, watch your portions and eat slowly![1]
