More Veggies for Kids

Kids will eat more vegetables when healthful produce is part of their main meals instead of side dishes.  Add pureed cooked vegetables to ground-meat dishes like meatloaf and hamburgers.  Substitute shredded carrots, chopped spinach or zucchini for ground meat in lasagna or a casserole. Add pureed or shredded vegetables to homemade muffins, cookies, cakes and breads.[1]

Make sure your children get enough vegetables every day.  Be creative with your recipes to integrate more veggies for your kids’ wellbeing.
