Physical Activity and the Brain

Losing weight has many different factors and one of them is appetite control.  It’s the Achilles heel of weight loss.  New studies have shown that exercising can actually help curb your appetite through the hypothalamus gland.  The hypothalamus gland is responsible for your hunger and appetite control by monitoring food intake and energy requirements.  Physical activity has been shown to help reduce the appetite stimulating hormones found in the hypothalamus.[1]

Get active!  Physical activity has long been known to be a brain stimulator and when we give our bodies healthy activity, our brains will send the same healthy message back to our bodies!
