Stop Consuming Processed Foods

processed foodThroughout America, food additives such as flavorings and preservatives are being added to processed foods. Alarmingly, a lot of these additives (brominated vegetable oil and brominated flour, food dyes, even arsenic) are banned outside of the U.S. What is scary is that we are not completely sure how these additives will affect our health in the long run. Studies are already showing that certain additives can cause diarrhea, headaches and nausea. Research also points to damaged nerve cells caused by the mixing of these man-made additives.[1]

Protect yourself from additives and stop consuming processed foods. Buying organic can be expensive so make your purchases last by properly storing your food (in freezer bags or by canning). You can also try your local farmer’s market or even grow your own garden.
