Stop Snacking and Start Sleeping

sleepFor a good night’s sleep, avoid eating and drinking several hours before bedtime. Caffeinated beverages can keep you from falling asleep, as can spicy foods, which cause indigestion. And while a glass of alcohol or a large meal might make you feel sleepy, once you lie down, those overindulgences could end up making you feel sick.*

Do your best to stop eating at least three hours before bedtime. If the late-night munches set in, a sip of water and a low-protein, high-carb snack are your best for snacking and getting to sleep.
