Teens Need More Sleep

The teenage years are a time of development and growth spurts, which is why a healthy dose of sleep is necessary. The National Sleep Foundation recommends that teens get on average eight hours of sleep a night. Unfortunately, 58% of teens average seven hours or less of sleep a night.*

Teens who use electronic devices at night will have a more difficult time falling asleep. Monitor your teen’s electronic usage, and help them ease into sleep with a dark, cool, quiet evening environment at home.
