A study conducted by the Journal of the National Cancer Institute showed that almost 50,000 men who ate two or more servings of cooked tomatoes each week reduced the risk of prostate cancer by 30%.[1] When they ate 10 or more servings each week, the risk dropped to 50%. This is from the high content of Lycopene, an antioxidant in tomatoes. Cooked tomatoes seemed to bring out more lycopene than raw ones.
Eat cooked tomatoes today to fight prostate cancer. Try other cancer fighting foods such as broccoli, cabbage, soybeans and carrots too.
