In a study published by the American College of Cardiology, people with atrial fibrillation (irregular heartbeats) showed symptom improvements by engaging in yoga. After three months of regular sessions, participants noted both lower heart rates and lower blood pressure. This is great news for the 2.7 million Americans who experience atrial fibrillation, especially when considering that conventional therapy can be very expensive. As an added bonus, participants from the study also reported experiencing less depression and anxiety.[1]
