Use Headsets

The need for cell phone connection will eventually cause problems for your back and neck.  Holding a phone for an extended period of time causes constant tension in your neck muscles that will adapt to their shortened position in cradling the phone.  When your call ends and your arm lowers, these muscles will continue to be partially contracted until they’re stretched out.  In addition to this, you have cranial nerves that could get compressed, which gives you that “pinched nerve” feeling.[1]

Prevent back and neck pain by getting a headset for your phone!  They provide benefits in posture as well as giving you the freedom to do other tasks with both hands.
