If you’re trying to lose weight, eating vegetables is a great way to succeed because they are low in calories and high in vitamins and minerals. For even better results incorporate some variety into your vegetable diet. A study at Tufts University found the more variety of vegetables people ate, the thinner they were. Different vegetables pack different health benefits and nutrients; plus the more variety you eat the less likely your taste buds will get bored with your healthy habits.
Step out of your vegetable comfort zone and add some variety to your shopping cart. If you like broccoli, give cauliflower a try; zucchini could easily be substituted with yellow squash; try raw cabbage or radishes to get the same crunch as carrots.
