Watercress Fights Cancer

Watercress is a peppery and sweet tasting green leafy vegetable.  This member of the cabbage family contains significant amounts of iron, calcium and folic acid, in addition to vitamins A and C.   It also appears to have cancer-suppressing properties, particularly effective in preventing colon, lung and breast cancer.  Its high iodine content makes watercress have a strengthening effect on the thyroid gland, beneficial for sufferers of hypothyroidism. Add fresh watercress to your salad, soup or sandwich.  Enjoy this wonderful health food as many places as you can, especially if you suffer from cancer or thyroid problems.
