Why You Should Clean Your Dishwasher

Your dishwasher may clean your dishes, but it doesn’t clean itself. Food, soap scum, and grease can collect near the bottom of your dishwasher’s drain. It’s important to clean out this area every six months to eliminate odor and make your dishwasher run more efficiently. Also, be sure to pull out the bottom drawer of your dishwasher and clean out any debris that may have collected there.*

Once you’ve removed all debris, place a cup of vinegar on the top rack of your dishwasher and run a hot water cycle. Afterwards, sprinkle some baking soda on the bottom of your washer, let it sit overnight, and run the hot water cycle once more for a squeaky clean dishwasher.
