Keeping a diary is long associated with teenage girls writing about their frustrations with life or love interests. However, we should all focus and take note of this activity. According to research results, writing down your feelings can help the brain cope with emotional distress. The research concluded that when people actual wrote about their feelings, not typed out on a computer, it showed a decrease in activity in the brain’s amygdala, which controls the intensity of emotions. These results were equal for men and women![1]
You don’t have to be an author to write down your feelings! They are for your eyes only and the release in stress is well worth it.
Express your love today!
